Want to volunteer with Operation Fusion? Just follow these steps (~30 minutes) and you’re all set!

  1. HICH registration AND pay $15 dues (instructions in form) — If you had paid in Fall 2025 and are an existing member, you do not need to pay dues again!.

  3. HISD VIPS registration: (takes 0-2 business days for approval)

    1. Under “Affiliation” select College / University Student
    2. Under “School Preferences” select All Elementary Schools and All Middle Schools
    3. Under “Functions” select Future District-Wide Volunteer Opportunities, Health and Wellness, and Arts Program
    4. Under “Organizations” select VIPS (Volunteers In Public Schools) and University of Houston

  4. HISD VIPS orientation certification (5 minutes):

  5. Email us BOTH your background check approval email and VIPS certificate at [email protected]

  6. Attend our Spring volunteer orientation session on Tues 2/10 at 5:30 in Honors College 212L! If you are unable to attend the session, we will post our slides.
